Who is responsible?

What data we collect, and why
Membership interest form: We collect your name, email, phone number (optional), where in Norway you live, what you'd like to contribute, how you heard about us, and anything else you choose to tell us. We use this to invite you to become a member and, if you'd like, to contact you about volunteer work. The basis is your consent.
Gifts via Vipps: When you give a gift, we receive your name, phone number, amount and time. We use this to register and record the gift for bookkeeping, administer recurring gifts and respond to inquiries. The basis is the gift agreement with you and our duty to keep accounts under the Norwegian Bookkeeping Act. We do not send you a newsletter or other communication without your consent.
Newsletter: If you sign up for our newsletter, we store your email address, and your name if you provide it. We use this to send you news about our work, events and ways to get involved. The basis is your consent. You can unsubscribe at any time via the link at the bottom of every email, or by contacting us.
Inquiries: If you contact us by email, we use the information only to reply to you.
The website: We use Cloudflare Web Analytics to count visits. The tool does not use cookies and does not identify you as a visitor.
Who has access?
Only the board and those in the organisation who need the data to do their job. We do not sell your data and do not share it with anyone other than the suppliers named below. We use Google for forms, email and storage, and Google processes the data on our behalf. For gifts, the data is also processed by Vipps MobilePay, our bank and any accountant. The data may be stored outside the EEA, but if so, only on a lawful transfer basis.
We also use digital tools, including AI tools, in our accounting and administrative work. These process the data on our behalf and do not use it for their own purposes.
The newsletter may be sent via Substack. If so, your email address is registered with Substack, which processes the data both on our behalf and under its own privacy policy. Substack is a US company, and the data is stored in the US.
How long do we keep the data?
Data from the interest form is kept for as long as you want to hear from us. Newsletter data is kept until you unsubscribe. Data about gifts is kept for as long as the Bookkeeping Act requires, normally five years, and deleted afterwards.
Your rights
You have the right to access the data we hold about you, and to have it corrected or deleted. You can also ask us to restrict processing, or to receive a copy of your data. Consent can be withdrawn at any time. Data we must keep under the Bookkeeping Act cannot be deleted before that period expires. Contact us at [email protected] and we will respond within 30 days. If you believe we are processing your data unlawfully, you can complain to the Norwegian Data Protection Authority (datatilsynet.no).
Changes
We update this notice whenever we change how we process personal data.
